詩38:1 〔大衛的記念詩。〕耶和華阿、求你不要在怒中責備我．不要在烈怒中懲罰我。
O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
詩38:2 因為你的箭射入我身、你的手壓住我。
For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
詩38:3 因你的惱怒、我的肉無一完全．因我的罪過、我的骨頭也不安寧。
There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
詩38:4 我的罪孽高過我的頭、如同重擔叫我擔當不起。
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
詩38:5 因我的愚昧、我的傷發臭流膿。
My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
詩38:6 我疼痛、大大拳曲、終日哀痛。
I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
詩38:7 我滿腰是火．我的肉無一完全。
For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
詩38:8 我被壓傷、身體疲倦．因心裡不安、我就唉哼。
I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
詩38:9 主阿、我的心願都在你面前．我的歎息不向你隱瞞。
Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
詩38:10 我心跳動、我力衰微、連我眼中的光、也沒有了。
My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
詩38:11 我的良朋密友、因我的災病、都躲在旁邊站著．我的親戚本家、也遠遠的站立。
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
詩38:12 那尋索我命的、設下網羅．那想要害我的、口出惡言、終日思想詭計。
They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
詩38:13 但我如聾子不聽、像啞巴不開口。
But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
詩38:14 我如不聽見的人、口中沒有回話。
Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
詩38:15 耶和華阿、我仰望你．主我的 神阿、你必應允我。
For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
詩38:16 我曾說、恐怕他們向我誇耀．我失腳的時候、他們向我誇大。
For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
詩38:17 我幾乎跌倒．我的痛苦常在我面前。
For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
詩38:18 我要承認我的罪孽．我要因我的罪憂愁。
For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
詩38:19 但我的仇敵又活潑又強壯．無理恨我的增多了。
But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
詩38:20 以惡報善的與我作對、因我是追求良善。
They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
詩38:21 耶和華阿、求你不要撇棄我．我的 神阿、求你不要遠離我。
Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
詩38:22 拯救我的主阿、求你快快幫助我。
Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
